One Room Challenge: Secondary Bathroom - Week 1
Welcome to my journey in the Fall 23’ One Room Challenge! This is my first time participating and I could not be more excited. For those of you that are new to ORC, it is an 8-week challenge to transform one room of your liking.
The Bathroom
This year I am tackling one of the more important rooms in my house, the secondary bathroom that also severs as the guest bathroom for all that come over. We have lived in our home for just over 2 years, and I think it is finally time I transformation the last remaining room in the house from the retro 80s to the chic French inspired farmhouse that it is today.
The Before
I must tell you a little secret that I did take down the wallpaper in one of the first weeks of living here and threw on a coat of paint. But other than that, we haven’t touched it. So, I am very excited to finally get this project started!!
The Grand Plan:
- Remove the wall in between the vanities and toilet/shower room
- Replace the vanities, lighting, floors, tile in shower area
- New paint
- New faucets for sinks and shower/tub
What I am still debating is whether I am going to paint the wall opposite of the vanities or if I am going to do a half wallpaper/half wainscoting.
The Vision:
I hope you will follow along with me during the next 8-weeks as we transform this space.
So with nothing further to say, let’s get this show started!!
